Membership

The Institute of Rural Health was established as a membership organisation to ensure that those who had an interest in rural health issues had the opportunity to belong to and influence the direction and activities of an academic institution dedicated to the needs of rural communities.

The IRH membership scheme offers a resource for all those working in rural areas, providing an excellent focus for professionals and their colleagues working in health, social care, the voluntary sector, and academia, as well as students and health support agencies.

Membership of the IRH gives members access to a variety of services that can benefit both themselves and their organisation.

The IRH believes that its members hold the key to its future programme and activities and aims to ensure that their wishes and aspirations are listened to.

Membership grades include: student, professional, associate, practice, small business and corporate membership.

The Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Institute of Rural Health give the Trustees the authority to accept individuals or organisations into membership.
